  1. Mr. Glatzel,
My name is David Bloom and I direct the
Bloom School of Jazz, here in Chicago.
I just ran across your site and I think it’s great.
I’m happy to hear that someone is keeping
    those classic records alive.
    Keep up your good work,
    David Bloom

    1. Hi David, thanks very much for the kind words! Sadly, the blog doesn’t get nearly as much attention as my Facebook group. I’d like to invite you to join Modern Jazz Society 1950-80. It’s turned out to be a terrific resource for both novices and aficionados.

  2. Michael, thanks for pointing out my oversight, and thanks for the compliment! As an art director and graphic designer, I appreciate the attention detail. On behalf of Jazz fans everywhere, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your hard work and significant contributions to Jazz—they will never go unnoticed. Also, I’d like to invite you to another Jazz outlet of mine—a Facebook group—Modern Jazz Society 1950–80. —Carl
